Really impressive. You have so much patience. I like the buttons and utensils. On the drawing with the kettle and squashes/peppers (not sure what they are) why do you have the flattened sides? Were these carved from wood or is it to show its shape without shading?

they're not wood, they're real squash and peppers. we were only allowed to do line drawings for the first half of the semester, but they're pretty bland-looking if all you draw is the actual objects. so to suggest their shape, i would pick out really subtle planar shifts on the surface of each object, and sort of outline those planes in my drawings. i did the same thing for shadowed and highlighted areas, and places where the color changes. a certain amount of it is just invented for the sake of aesthetics, and some of what you see is my underdrawing, because i didn't use an eraser at all on these. but mostly those shapes actually exist on the objects, just not in the form of lines.
hope that's clear. thanks for your feedback!

Great drawings! The spoons and buttons is my favourite. Never knew these objects looked good together :D

Geez, your patience amazes me ^^; It's good to see that you're staying busy at school.

some men die under the mountains just looking for gold
some die looking for a hand to hold

Yea that was my first guess but I wasn't sure. That's really really cool. I totally dig the "subtle planar shifts". It brings a very intriguing concept normally round shapes.
